Moth in my room question?

does deodorant kill moths because i woke up and there was a moth flying around so i tried to capture it but i dont intend to kill it so i wait for it to land but it is one of them ones which wont stay still so i decided to spray deodorant to see if it could get the moth to slow down and fly a predictable path in which i can capture it and put it back outside by in seems to have gone missing which is a problem so can you help me
