4-day trip to Los Angeles; itinerary help?

Santa Barbara is not that close to LA. It will take you hours to drive up there and then hours back. You may just want to stick to the LA area. Santa Monica is great (and not near Santa Barbara). There are so many places to eat I don't know what to recommend. celebs are so random to see. It is vacation time though so many are out of town. Maybe Nobu in Malibu would be a good place to eat. If you like film-making and want a studio tour the best one is Warner Brothers in Burbank. You can try to see a show like Leno, Conan, Lopez, Jimmy Kimmel, Bill Maher. They all film locally but I don't know if any will be on break or not. Unless you are rich enough to afford stuff there I find Rodeo Drive a waste of time. Unless you are just driving through to see it. You are more likely to see celebs at the stores and restaurants on Robertson.
