He told me that he doesn't want a gf?

I really like this guy. He n I hung out at a concert from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm then he took me on a long *** walk back to my grandparents house. He n I did some things to see if he actually liked me. Right after that he said somethin to the effect of that was a mistake we shouldnt of done that. After that we talked really deeply to each other. Afterward (he n I always hug before departing) we hugged then started talkin like we never said goodbye we do that one more time. In the end we hugged 3 times. Each time he patted me on the head plus it felt like he didnt want to let go. He leaves at 12:30 am (midnight 30). Next day I ask him to talk about the day he told me no talking about it. I convinced him to talk bout it. Then i asked him to be my bf he says no. Says he will never get married n that he thinks he is never gunna date. Friday I saw him gave him his birthday card he said thank u but he had to leave we said bye n hugged that time he didnt pat me on the head but it felt like he didnt want to let go.
