Are you supposed to pass out the wedding itinerary at the rehearsal or the actual wedding? What goes on it?

I have no idea what to put on our wedding wedding itinerary. Its a small wedding (40 people). Do we make cards and put them on tables at the wedding or give them out the day before. Does it say things like "hair done at.." for bridesmaids, etc or is it aimed at the guests " cake cutting at.." Thanks!
